No goal was ever ruined due to added patience.
Do not ever let the gain of winning
create obstacles to winning gains.
The good get what's ahead of them.
The great leave even more of it behind.
When making a choice:
always favor whatever option
is most likely to lead to the greatest number of people
offering you the greatest number of thank you's in the end.
Do not decide based solely on what will make you feel grateful;
instead, prioritize what others will be grateful for.
You will be amazed how, over time,
the two will converge into one.
Going to the gym won't turn you into a bodybuilder
as much as having a job will.
Showing up for life is 90% of success.
The other 10% is not being absent.
Solutions to problems arise through a disciplined, often repetitive choice
to dismissal your own opinion.
Over and over if we must,
putting aside our precious, prized and certain opinion
and instead favoring in our minds clear, unedited observations of things.
When we put aside "how we want the things to be"
and instead study closely "how the things are,"
it is then that solutions we seek will have the space in the mind to grow.
"Work twice as hard" should come after an achievement,
not before it.
Work hard and accomplish something,
and then start working twice as hard as you just did
to do something more with that accomplishment.
Stand because of your dreams.
But walk because of your intentions.
A champion is not the one who gets the most direct attention.
A champion is the one who most directs the attention he gets.
